Marketing Manager/Hemoglobin A1C – Lab Division
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create marketing strategies to maximize sales, including positioning, pricing, placing and promotion.
- Develop and manage marketing and sales budget.
- Manage graphics, marketing and sales support functions.
- Create media strategies including web pages and execute them.
- Contribute to the development of annual unit and revenue budgets for the product lines.
- Monitor product sales, pricing trends and margins against forecast contributions.
- Monitor industry dynamics and competitive products including product performance, sales and market share trends.
- Design and develop marketing and sales material to include product literature, promotional material, direct mail pieces, catalogs and other sales and marketing collateral material.
- Responsible for leading cross-functional teams composed of product development, operations, quality assurance, regulatory, finance, etc.
- Support the sales department with regular communication on industry, competitive and product changes. Help provide training and product knowledge as necessary.
- Promote products through participation in trade shows and some individual customer presentations.
- Work closely and proactively with Sales, Marketing and all other departments to insure that products are properly positioned and supported.
- Lead product launch activities.
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in the in vitro diagnostics in particular hospital and reference laboratory HbA1C instrumentation.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to travel 25%.
- Proficiency in communication, word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
